The
purpose of
CONVENTION: To Resurrect the U.S. Constitution
is to inspire Americans to implore their State
Legislatures to call for a Convention under Article V
of the U.S. Constitution.
The
balance of government power has
shifted away from the
States and the people and is now entrenched in
Washington.
This institutional trend offends the core principles of
the Constitution.
Discrete
amendment of key clauses is the only permanent solution
to foundational reduction of the expansive sphere of
modern federal government, and enhancement of
traditional State authority.
The
Convention’s agenda is to recapture the original meaning
and application of the
Commerce
Clause, General Welfare Clause and the
Necessary and Proper Clause,
and to reinvigorate the
Tenth
Amendment,
the tabernacle of
Federalism.
In the backdrop of American
history the book analyzes the constitutionality of
contemporary issues of health care reform, cap & trade,
bailouts, stimulus, earmarks, state immigration laws,
entitlements and judicial activism.
There is a dire need to amend the
Constitution. This book is the why, the what, and the
how. It is a call to action with a sample Petition &
Letter to facilitate citizen and organizational
initiation.
The time for an
enduring solution is now.
A Constitutional Convention called by 33 State
Legislatures upon the petition of the people, to amend
parts of the Constitution, is the antidote and the cure to an
encroaching government. |
